The White Lightning UltraZAP Flash Units are now shipped with our new 7AB/R 7-inch Silver Field Reflector (instead of the previous 7FR/P 7-inch Silver Field Reflector). This new reflector is the same size as the previous reflector, attaching to the faceplate of your flash unit in the same way. The new reflector has the same 80º beam spread, the same reflective silver finish, and the same built-in umbrella hole for fitting our various umbrellas. The 7AB/R reflector differs in that it has a recessed outer lip for attaching our honeycomb grids. With this new reflector, you may attach our honeycomb grids (the HG10, HG20, HG30 and HG40) directly to the reflector, as they snap in place in the recessed outer lip.

Please note, however, that particular care must be taken when using grids in this new reflector. As the UltraZAP Series units are not fan-cooled units, you should not operate your flash unit for extended periods of time with a honeycomb grid in the reflector. This can allow heat to build up, potentially causing damage to your flash unit. To use a honeycomb grid for extended periods of time with your UltraZAP unit, please use the LiteMod UMF Mainframe accessory.
