Filters
Simple yet interesting lighting effects can be achieved with the addition of our gels and filters. We offer several types of gels and filters for different lighting effects, fitting into the GELH Gel Holder to be used in the LiteMod System, or clipped directly to your reflector to be used alone. You can clip the gels to your reflector using the pair of nylon clips that came with your flash unit. If you'd like more clips, just give us a call! We sell extra clips in sets of 12. All gels and filters are 8 inches by 10 inches in size.
CF6 Set of 6 Color Filters/Gels
The CF6 Set of 6 Color Filters and Gels will physically change the color output of your light. These may be used to illuminate a backdrop in complimentary colors to your scene, or to create a colored rim light on your subject. When using color gels on a white backdrop, you can make it appear that you have shot your product on a colored background.
The Gels/Filters included in the CF6 Set: Yellow, Orange, Primary Red, Magenta, Dark Blue and Primary Green (one of each color).
CF20 Set of 20 Color Filters/Gels
The CF20 Set of 20 Color Filters and Gels will physically change the color output of your light. These may be used to illuminate a backdrop in complimentary colors to your scene, or to create a colored rim light on your subject. When using color gels on a white backdrop, you can make it appear that you have shot your product on a colored background.
The Gels/Filters included in the CF20 Set: Yellow, Deep Amber, Orange, Light Rose, Dark Pink, Magenta, Blue-Green, Light Blue, Dark Blue, Mauve, Bright Pink, Pale Lavender, Pale Green, Primary Green, Pale Violet, Pale Gold, Chocolate, Dark Steel Blue, Light Red and Cosmetic Highlight (one of each color).
ND6 Set of 6 Neutral Density Filters
The ND6 Set of 6 Neutral Density Filters reduce the overall light level in a scene, without changing the setup. The set contains two filters that reduct the light by 1 f-stop, two that reduce the light by 2-fstops, and two that reduce the light by 3-fstops.
The Gels/Filters included in the ND6 Set: two 0.3 gradation (reducing by 1 f-stop), two 0.6 gradation (reducing by 2 f-stops) and two 0.9 gradation (reducing by 3 f-stops).
WF6 Set of 6 Warming Filters
The WF6 Set of 6 Warming Filters will add a light brown, almost sepia tint to your image, reminiscent of a hazy late afternoon in the summer. They will adjust your light to a soft golden glow which is excellent for outdoor and nature shots, afternoon outdoor wedding shots, and even in-studio portraits as this is an excellent choice for creating gorgeous skin tones. The WF6 Warming Filters will adjust the color temperature of your light to one-quarter and one-eighth of the current temperature (three of each).
DF6 Set of 6 Diffusion Filters
The DF6 Set of 6 Diffusion Filters will serve to soften your image, creating a slight foggy blur or haze around the light source. This will soften the light output into a more diffused glow rather than its usually direct light. With the same concept at work as is used in diffusion umbrellas or softboxes, the diffusion filters will eliminate shadows, and give a very soft, still light output. They can be used for a still life shot, a nature shot (often good for early morning shots), or for portraits. With the DF6 set, you will get three filters in two different degrees of softness - three "Tough Frost" filters and three "Light Tough Frost" filters.
UV6 Set of 6 UV Filters
The UV6 Set of 6 UV Filters are almost clear filters, and will serve to reduce the blue haze that is caused by UV rays either from the atmosphere, or from indoor ambient lighting in such venues as sports arenas. With the UV6 set, you will get six UV filters - each filter is the same.
